Homemaking and Companionship Services
Our Companion Services is a private pay service that is available to all clients who want assistance with household services and errands. Homemaking services provide assistance in maintaining a household so people can continue to live independently and safely. These services include:
- Routine housework
- Laundry
- Washing dishes
- Making and changing bed linens
- Shopping assistance for everything from groceries to holiday gifts
- Transportation to doctors appointments, or to visit friends or family, or to events
- House sitting when the client is away
- Respite for caregivers
Our caregivers, Personal Support Specialists are trained through a fifty (50) hour course required by the State of Maine/Department of Health and Human Services/Office of Aging and Disability Services. Certified Nursing Assistants have been trained through a course sponsored by the Board of Nursing, State of Maine.
